Beginning Sunday, May 17, we’ll gather weekly for one service at 10:00 AM throughout the summer. We look forward to creating space for everyone to be in the same room for this season as college students disperse for the summer. Kids classes will be offered through 5th grade during the service (unless otherwise noted as a Family Sunday).

Men of Prov Road, we’ve officially kicked off our monthly gatherings and would love for you to join us again in May. Mark your calendars for the last Friday of every month from 6-7 AM in the bunker. This month, we’ll gather on Friday, May 29, for a time to challenge and encourage one another, pray together, and continue building community. We’ll have plenty of coffee and breakfast from one of our favorite spots in Norman. Reach out to Topher if you have any questions!

We will be having Family Sundays on May 24 and all Sundays in July with our Pre-K through 5th graders remaining in the gathering throughout the service. This is to help alleviate volunteer staffing issues throughout the summer. There will be clipboards with a sermon notes page and coloring sheet available in the main foyer.

We will be having a Covenant Member Meeting THIS Sunday, May 17 at 4 PM. We will provide childcare for ages birth through 5th grade. Please register your kids early for us to accommodate your family.

Following the meeting, we hope you will join us for a picnic at Andrews Park! Have a picnic dinner ready or pick up takeout on your way, and meet us there for time together as a church family.

Families, Promotion Sunday is THIS SUNDAY, May 17 at 10 AM, so check your email for more details from Kaylee! This is when school-aged kids move up to the next grade and we hand out updated Phase Summary cards at check-in. These summary cards include a brief description of the upcoming phase/grade, growth & developmental insights, simple techniques for influencing a kid's mind and heart, and a roadmap for discipleship over the next year. These cards are a tangible way we can push pause to remember that this upcoming year in our child's lives is only a "phase" and we'll be moving to the next before we know it! Plus, we’ll have donuts to celebrate beginning at 9:15!

In lieu of our past failed attempts at a spring campout, this year we are going to try to create some memories for Fathers and Sons at the ballpark! Make plans to join us on Sunday, May 3 at 2 PM. OU will be taking on Florida that afternoon. 

We must purchase tickets in advance, so we will have to close registration on Thursday, April 23. Please register here to reserve your tickets. Dads and sons (ages 5 & up) are $15/ticket. Sons 4 & under are free.

If you are a graduating senior, please complete this form and share it with other graduating seniors you know who call Providence Road home. At the end of each service on Sunday, May 3, we will have a short time of prayer over our seniors as you get ready to be sent out from Norman. After the service, gather in the main foyer for a large group photo. Congratulations on this big milestone!

After you complete the form, please email Vicky a senior photo or headshot (of just you!) that we can use that Sunday morning and include on our social media.

Join us this Sunday, April 26 from 5:30-7:30 PM for our Volunteer Appreciation Dinner. We’re excited to celebrate you! Dinner starts at 5:30 PM with a taco bar, and the program begins at 6:00 PM. Check out the menu here. Our theme is “Holidays Through the Year,” so come dressed as your favorite holiday. There’s a prize for the most spirited costume, so don’t hold back!

This event is for anyone who has served at Prov Road this year. Spouses are welcome, and childcare will be provided. Please have your kids eat before you arrive. A few spots are still available if you haven’t signed up yet!

Men of Prov Road, we plan to begin gathering together monthly at the building to challenge and encourage one another. Mark your calendars for the last Friday of every month from 6-7AM in the bunker – so we will officially kick things off on April 24.

Each month could look a little bit different, but this first one we'll pray together and discuss what the next few months might look like. We will have plenty of coffee and a rotating breakfast from our favorite spots in Norman. Reach out to Topher if you have any questions!

On Sunday, April 19 from 3:30-4:30pm, we will be updating you on our global church planting partnerships. Our Montreal team just returned, our Czech team is preparing to serve this summer, and we'll have important updates regarding our UAE partners. We also have a brief video from the India Stint team to share. We do our best to share public updates periodically, but concentrated times like these give a more full picture of what God is doing through our overseas partnerships and how you can be praying for those in Montreal, Czechia, and the Middle East.  

In an effort to allow more people to attend, we've bumped our time up for GCs that might be meeting on Sunday evenings. We will also be providing childcare for Birth - 5th Grade, but please register now so we can accommodate your family!

For those who are not able to attend on Wednesdays, we will also have a group that meets on Thursday mornings from 9 to 10:30 AM and a remote option.

We have to order workbooks a week before the study starts, so please sign up by Tuesday, February 17, to be sure you will have a workbook ready for you at our first meeting. The cost for the study is $12 to cover materials. If you have any questions, email Madison Russ.

We will have a brief Good Friday service at 6 PM on April 3. It will be highly reflective, with only scripture readings and songs. Come prepared to leave quietly, thinking deeply on the cross of Christ. Parents, we will not offer kids classes on Friday, but kids are invited to be a part of the service.

On Sunday, March 29, we will be having a baptism service as we celebrate lives that have been changed by Jesus! If you are interested in being baptized, please let us know by filling out this registration. Someone will be reaching out soon to hear your testimony, answer questions you have, and go over details about that morning. We look forward to talking with you more about baptism!

Please plan to arrive a little early, and save the nearest parking spots for guests and young families. Other options for parking include street parking, the Gray Street lot, or the lots to the south of our building.

We’re excited to welcome Sean Kelly as our new Director of Youth Ministry! Sean brings over a decade of experience serving children, students, and families, having previously served at The Village Church and most recently at The Well Church in Moore. Sean and his wife, Riley, both OU grads, love the Norman community and have three children (Quinn, Archer, and Callum), with one more on the way! Learn more about them here.
