Prov Road Kids

We offer child care from Birth - 5th Grade

If you are dropping off kids in child care or checking in older kids who will be going to class after large group worship, the best entrance to use is the one closest to the corner of Crawford & Comanche. This entrance has the Prov Road Kids Logo on the window next to it.

Safety and Security

Your child's safety and security while in our care are top priority.

Registration
Our kids ministry uses a security tag system during pick up and drop off. On your first visit we will ask you to complete an information form prior to dropping off your child(ren). On your second visit your family will be in our database and you can check-in using our system. A volunteer will be available to help you get all set up! You are welcome to fill out that form in advance HERE.

Check-in
We currently use a contactless check-in system through the app Church Center. The app is available through iTunes and Google Play. Once you get logged in to our church home page you will see the "check-in" button option on the lower menu. On Sunday mornings that check-in option goes live and that is where you go to check-in your kids. After you click that button you will see your child(ren)'s names. Click the box next to the name of whichever child(ren) will be attending that morning. After clicking "next" a barcode will pop up. That barcode is what you will hold up to our check-in iPads to scan. After that a name tag for each child(ren) will pop out from the printer. After putting these on your children they are ready to head back to the KIDS area! You will see a new barcode pop up on your phone after you scan the original one. The second barcode is your pick up tag identity. That number listed matches the numbers on your child(ren)'s tags. This is what you will show during pick up.

Volunteers
Each volunteer serving in Prov Road KIDS has gone through a background check, application and interview process. Providing top notch volunteers to point your children to the Lord is all part of the mission of PR KIDS as we seek to come alongside and support families in showing their kids what the Gospel is all about.

Baby Feeding

We offer a private room for female caretakers who need a quiet/private space to feed or calm their baby.

There are two rocking chairs, a changing table, and a breastfeeding pillow available for your convenience. There are also speakers that play the audio from the sanctuary, so you don't have to miss the sermon. This room is on the north side of the main foyer area and is the door on the left, closest to the sanctuary. If you have any trouble locating this room, just ask at the Connect Desk in the back of the sanctuary or anyone with a lanyard name tag.

Health Protocols

Aside from enhanced cleaning and awareness of keeping surfaces and hands sanitized, we have implemented a few other things to help keep our kids and families safe.

At Providence Road, we do our best to be vigilant about having kids use hand sanitizer before snack, and of course washing hands after a bathroom break. If your child isn't feeling well, we ask that you keep them home and visit us when they are feeling their best again! Pleave view our sick policy here.

Class Setup

Rooted in Christ | Ephesians 3:17

Cultivating a culture of gospel centeredness, where our kids will grow to know and love Christ, will create a foundation of truth that they will call on for the rest of their lives. This sweet time we have with our children is ever so fleeting and utilizing it in a way that brings God glory is our top priority.

Students who are in Pre-K through 5th Grade begin in the sanctuary with corporate worship then are dismissed to their classes. If you would prefer your kids to remain in the large group gathering on Sundays that is certainly welcomed as well. For older kids we always have clipboards with sermon note sheets, crayons and pens available.

We believe God gives parents the ultimate responsibility to lead and disciple their children. An important part of this Spiritual formation is parents modeling for their kids what it looks like to participate in the corporate worship time, as well as helping children to feel included in the worship time. We understand that incorporating children in worship isn't always the easiest option, but we passionately believe the rewards far outweigh the costs. It is our hope that our church culture values and celebrates children always.
